Your Girl Isn’t Lucky, She Serves a Sovereign God

When your girl re-tells an event in her life, does she communicate that as luck? It might sound like, “We’re so lucky that driver didn’t hit us when they swerved across the road!” As a family with a Christian Worldview, how can you shift her thinking to recognize the Sovereign God working in her life?

If a Christian truly believes that God is sovereign—meaning all things are under His control and care—she must harness her words to reflect the same. If your girl is to live out “in all your ways acknowledge Him” and “It is by Him that we live and move and have our being”, then luck doesn’t play into the events of her life.

Issue a gentle challenge to your girl so her words reflect God’s presence and providence in her daily life.

Proverbs 3:6, Acts 17:28
