Pathfinder girls can foster their natural curiosity and creativity while learning what it means to be an American Heritage Girl.
The American Heritage Girls Program enables a girl to grow in her FAITH, cultivate a heart for SERVICE, and have more FUN than she can imagine!
American Heritage Girls remains committed to our founding principles of being Christ-centered and girl-centric.
AHG focuses on providing progressive Christian programming that is rich in opportunities for girls of all ages and abilities. As girls grow and change, so should the activities that they do. With each AHG Level, girls are introduced to new skills, experiences (including outdoor adventures) and leadership positions, as well as given opportunities to grow closer to the Lord.
AHG’s Program Emphases creates a well-rounded experience for girls. A girl who completes the AHG Program will be a Christ-following servant leader who is honoring, relational, anchored in Christ, and competent: a woman of integrity.
Girls are encouraged to grow in their faith and relationship with God through prayer, fellowship, service, and the AHG Faith Award Program.
Outcome: A Christ-follower who submits to Christ and seeks God’s will for her life.
Our Christian youth program is rich in leadership opportunities for girls of all ages. Girls discover their passion, acquire project management skills, hold leadership positions and participate in leadership training.
Outcome: A servant leader who follows Jesus’ model of leadership by putting others first.
Girls grow a deeper understanding of their country and heritage by participating in patriotic events, flag ceremonies, serving in their community, and learning about their country through badge work. These opportunities foster a lifelong love for the U.S.A.
Outcome: An honoring girl who cares for her community as an active citizen through service and patriotism.
AHG’s multi-level Troop structure encourages girls to create friendships with girls of all ages. This unique Troop structure allows for mentorships and learning opportunities to occur naturally among girls. Girls rate fun and time with their friends as key reasons why they love the AHG Program.
Outcome: A relational girl who invests in positive and loving relationships with others.
Girls will gain a better understanding of their identity in Christ through the AHG Program. Building confidence will come through outdoor experiences and trying new things in a safe environment. Girls learn to anchor their emotions in Christ in a caring and loving environment. Emotional purity will be encouraged and displayed in the Troop.
Outcome: An anchored girl who clings to Christ even when emotions try to take control.
Earning badges provides girls the opportunity to learn a wide array of life skills, inspiring them to become lifelong learners and doers. In AHG, girls can step out of their comfort zone and try new experiences in a safe environment.
Outcome: A competent girl who enjoys mastering new skills and applies them to her life.
"My daughter, Emma, just became a Patriot. She has been with AHG since she was 5. In all of those years, she has grown into an amazing, confident young woman. She has developed life-long friendships, even across the country thanks to Convention, camps, and the Pen Pal Program. Her faith is stronger because it extends past home and church! Her heart to serve amazes me every day and I believe that was developed through so many acts of service with AHG. She is truly a Godly, young woman of integrity."
