Your Diet of Words Either Affirms or Rejects Her

You’ve heard it said “You are what you eat.” Essentially, what you ingest is what either nourishes you, or destroys you. What if I told you the words you exchange with your daughter act in the exact same way?

Do you regularly call your daughter names like “drama queen” or “pain in the butt”? Words said in the midst of anger aren’t always kind. Frustration can get to the best of us. But compare the amount of times your daughter is hearing negativity spoken about her to the amount of times she’s affirmed. If she’s hearing more negativity than positivity, it’s time to check your heart.

Today, I encourage you to find five opportunities to affirm your daughter. Speak truth into her life and watch her self-esteem blossom.
