Why Your Girl’s Faith can’t be Compartmentalized

“I don’t get what the big deal is, Mom! My attitude at dance class has nothing to do with stuff here at home.” If your older girl is pushing back lately, slow the conversation’s momentum and focus in on the idea of an integrated faith life.

As a Godly girl, she doesn’t get to compartmentalize, or choose, when she does and does not represent Christ. Matthew 5 says that God’s children shine a light to the world, not be hidden—no matter where! So, as she grows and matures in the home, that will radiate to every area of her life forward.

If she’s overwhelmed, gently remind your girl that the Lord is grace-filled toward us as we grow, and He will equip her to live out her faith well in every area.

Matthew 5:14-16
