When Your Girl Commits to Jesus, Her Path Won’t be Easy

In the journey of discipling your girl, have you ever been tempted to market the Good News of Christ as a “good time”, or perhaps through the lens of being in the Christian in-crowd? While a faith life with the Lord IS helpful and DOES make us a part of the global Church collective, are you accidentally entertaining her desires rather than truly communicating the reality of the Christian life?

A well-known Bible teacher once said, “We can’t entertain people into the Kingdom [of God].” Christ Himself did NOT promise that eternal life equaled an easy walk on earth. In discipleship conversations with your girl, seek to faithfully communicate God’s character and the Good News of Jesus—realistically projecting the hardships and joys of what a lifelong faith can be.

John 15:18-19
