When She Gets Out of Her Comfort Zone, Encourage Perseverance

Failure is an inevitable part of life, but only for those willing to take a risk. It’s comfortable to live in a space of the familiar—predictability and assurance are cozy concepts. But when we don’t stretch ourselves, and in the process swing big and miss, we never really grow.

If your girl has tried and failed recently, comfort her. There comes a time in every girl’s life that the ‘sure thing’ comes into question, and oftentimes they’re moments for agonizing self-reflection.

As her parent, it’s not your job to ‘fix it’, but to remind her who she is. Even when her gifts and talents are scrutinized and criticized by others, it’s God’s plan she must pursue. He equips those whom He calls, she just needs to say ‘yes’.
