When Her Norm is to Disconnect Work for Consistent Communication

Does your girl ignore you? It’s infuriating, isn’t it? Perhaps she inserts her earbuds to drown you out or maybe she simply walks away. I urge you: don’t let this become the norm.

Work on developing your communication skills with her. Begin with a specific question as a conversation starter—break the ice with something simple to encourage her to share more from her heart. Starting with an uncomplicated or even silly question can enable you to branch the conversation out into the subjects you really want to discuss.

The apostle, James shared: “…let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger…” The key to great conversation is being a good listener. Let her know you care by giving your full attention to every discussion.

James 1:19 ESV
