When Anxiety Hits Ease Her Fears Through Christian Music

As parents with strong faith in the Lord, we know that there is so much to gain from reading Scripture habitually and praying to God. We read our Bible app each day and we can pray almost automatically. To our daughters, though, these habits are still unformed, and for some, may seem unfamiliar, or even overwhelming. What cures your anxiety may be exacerbating hers.

When researchers asked members of Generation Z “If you’re feeling anxious, what makes you feel better?” a staggering 2% answered “prayer or reading the Bible”. The vast majority, however, answered “listening to music.”

If you want to show your daughter she can turn to God in times of need, start with Christian music. She’ll hear the same truth and encouragement found in Scripture in a format she finds familiar.
