What is a Biblical Response When Your Girl is Bullied?

Bullying is an issue that continues to plague girls today. Whether it is orchestrated online or in-person, bullying can have lasting effects on the receiver.  It’s crucial for parents to have a response plan at their disposal in the event that a bullying situation should arise.

Assist your daughter with the following actions:  Listen, Label, Address, Pray. By listening intently, you can gather the full picture. From the details, you can label whether the behavior is an unkind instance or bullying behavior. After that, address the situation by finding solutions with your daughter that will work for her comfort level. Lastly, pray together for the other child. Often, children who are hurting begin hurting others. Matthew 5:44 tells us, “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Matthew 5:44, NIV
