To the Overwhelmed Working Mom who Wants the Best for Her Girl

The 2022 Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that nearly 50% of U.S. families have both parents employed. Working mothers have reported record high levels of stress, feeling the weight of both their roles equally—the domain of the home and of her professional work.

If you’re one of those working moms who feels overwhelmed, take heart as you navigate your vocations. Mental health professionals recommend taking periodic breaks to do 5-minute cardio bursts and deep breathing exercises. Pastoral counselors recommend regular mini-sessions in Scripture to re-establish a strong Godly foundation in your heart and mind.

When your brain warns its over-capacity, take time to put fuel into your tank so you can work and parent well. This prioritization of self and soul care is an example of true wellness for your girl.
