Remember when your little girl climbed into your lap with an abundance of hugs and kisses? The times she’d grab her blanket and cuddle up to you unprompted? 

Now, it seems like overnight, she’s in a phase where she doesn’t need you to hold her hand anymore, and she doesn’t understand your insistent need for cuddles! 

It’s hard to deal with the fact that our little girls grow up and go through different phases as they mature. When it seems like she is backing away, you must resist the tendency to do the same. 

A phase is just that. Persevere in building a relationship with your girl. As Galatians reminds us, at the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you don’t give up.
