The Scary Way Loneliness Affects Your Daughter

Researchers estimate that prolonged feelings of loneliness can actually shorten a person’s life by 15 years, making isolation as equally impactful as smoking 15 cigarettes per day.

God made humans to be in community with one another—to love and care for those in need. If your girl is feeling lonely, acts of service might make her feel more included, valuable, and necessary.

First Peter instructs us: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Have your girl list three ways she can serve others with the gifts God has given her. Equip her to turn this list into a reality and prepare to see her grow in community with others!
