The Make-Up Issue & How You can Feed Her Healthy Identity

There comes a day in nearly every girl’s life where she suddenly, desperately wants to wear makeup. Whether it’s a matter of peer pressure or a creative tutorial she saw online, makeup can be a sticky subject for parents. 

If you’re ready to let your girl experiment with cosmetics, consider steering her toward items that compliment her natural beauty—like a tinted lip balm instead of a lipstick, or a shadow instead of a liquid liner.  

At this stage of adolescence, your daughter is forming opinions on her own beauty and self-worth. By enforcing that the goal of her daily beauty routine is to maintain healthy skin and feel a deeper sense of self-love for the way God made her, we can each do our part in raising confident, secure women.
