The Importance of Diversity in Your Daughter’s Friendships

When you take a look at your daughter’s circle of friends, do they all look just like her? Or does she have a diverse friend group made up of a variety of demographics?

God created each and every person in His image and uniquely crafted us with an array of differences, from our ethnicities to our abilities. All of humankind is a beautiful picture of who God is! In Revelation, John recounts this vision “… there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb …”

Most often, your girl will pattern her friend group based on what she sees within the company you keep. Seek God for direction on befriending those who are different from you—it will inspire your daughter to do the same.
