Teaching Your Daughter About Gratitude Using Scripture

There is a misconception that youth have it “easy,” but that’s not always the case. Girls today face challenges that didn’t even exist 20 years ago. When helping your daughter navigate difficult circumstances, urge her not to see her glass as half-empty (or even half-full) but to see her glass as overflowing with goodness and love from Christ, her shepherd, as described in Psalm 23.

No matter what your girl is up against, Scripture says she has everything she needs.

Encourage your daughter to practice gratitude for what she’s given by journaling five things she’s thankful for each day. Daily gratitude will allow your girl to tangibly see and feel God’s blessings while strengthening a thankful heart and healthy mind within her.
