Raise a Peace Maker Rather than a Peace-Sabotager

Do you have a girl who holds deep convictions but tends to find herself often in conflict? While a deep sense of right and wrong is a positive character trait, the tension from constant arguments works against her having healthy relationships.

“Just because you’re invited to that fight doesn’t mean you have to attend.” That age-old bit of wisdom holds a biblical root—making peace involves personal responsibility. Romans 12 verses 16 and 18 charge Christians to “live in harmony with all” and work for peace in every situation “as far as it depends on you”.

Guide your girl through the nuances of weighing her convictions through a Biblical lens. Help her to see what IS worth confrontation and what is NOT.  As she grows in wisdom, Christ’s example will shine through her life.
