Looking at Meditation through a Biblical Worldview

Meditation or mindfulness seems to be a common treatment for stress and anxiety. So, it begs the question: Should Christians meditate?

The common practice of meditation is rooted in eastern religious philosophy and a worldview centered completely around the human person—and is noticeably absent of God.

But what if you could shift the human focus to a God focus? Could meditation become a Christian practice? The idea of Christian Meditation isn’t a new one… some Christian traditions have been doing this for generations.

If your girl struggles with stress, encourage her to select a prayer, verse, or attribute of God from Scripture and meditate on it. Through prayerful mindfulness, we can welcome His Spirit and enter into a space of awe-filled wonder, also known as adoration.
