In Hard Times, it can be Tempting to Pray for it to Just Go Away

When your girl experiences trials in her life—like a friend’s betrayal, a rough breakup, the death of a loved one—how does she pray to God? Her heart might be inclined to pray for it to just go away, but what if you could shift her prayer posture away from relief and toward God’s strength?

We can always turn to the Scriptures for God’s wisdom. When Daniel was in the den, he didn’t pray for the lions to go away…instead, He invited God to work through the difficulty for His glory. Viewing our trials as fertile ground for His marvelous works is a lifelong exercise in trusting God.

Trusting in God’s plan, timing, and His enduring love can be difficult—speak the words of Proverbs 3:5 over your girl as her prayer intercessor.
