In Family Devotions, What to do when You Don’t Know What It Means

OK, you’ve taken the leap to start family Bible reading together. And so far, it’s gone pretty well. But then, “What does THAT mean?” blurts into the family devo time and you’re in the spotlight. How do you handle the moments when you DON’T know what something in the Bible means? 

Here’s the moment that humility in discipling your kids is a GOOD thing. Since we’re in the age of search engines, you and your girl can read commentaries and learn together—or you can reach out to your trusted pastor to help you along the way. 

Psalm 145:18 says that God honors the truthful heart before Him. While family devotions aren’t always serene and beautiful, they are a great way to grow in the Lord’s image—together.
