How to Guide Your Girl through a Culture of Consumerism

Today’s girls are the queens of streaming! With songs, audiobooks, and podcasts at the tip of their fingers, audio streaming services rightfully reign supreme. And with all that listening time on free platforms comes endless advertisements

Like TV and radio, ads float through the cyber-airwaves bringing an array of topics and products to your girl’s attention. If she asks you to book a resort vacation or wants to ask her doctor about a new medication, those ads are likely the source.

If your girl’s tiny heart gets ignited by ads, it’s time to read through 1 John chapter 2 to gently caution her about the “desires of the flesh” and unhindered consumerism. While ads can spark excitement for cool things, the blessings of God’s Kingdom are eternal, so we shouldn’t seek fulfillment from earthly things.
