Gone are the days of memorizing your friend’s phone number. In fact, we no longer memorize most things… like fast math facts or important birthdays. Why remember when you can look it up on your phone, right? 

Your girl has grown accustomed to accessing every bit of info in seconds… including Scripture. But might there be some value in storing His Word away in our heads, rather than the devices in our hands? 

Memorizing Scripture is a time-tested spiritual exercise. Hiding Scripture away in her heart can bring guidance and peace when she needs it most. Psalms puts it beautifully: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
