How Can Your Girl Make a Comeback of Respectful Debate?

The common ground has disappeared. People today are so fixated on being right, that they mistake opinion for fact. It’s so frustrating to debate with someone who refuses to listen to both sides, isn’t it?

Inevitably your girl will form an opinion different than your own. That’s the beauty of raising children in a free nation—we each have the ability to think for ourselves. But one of the most valuable relational skills you can instill in your girl, no matter her beliefs, is respect. Respectful debate needs to make a comeback.

Of course, there is one truth the remains steadfast—God’s love for His children is never-ending. If you’re personally struggling with your daughter’s opinions, remain in the mindset that we’re each loved by a redeeming and merciful God.
