Helping Your Daughter Set Healthy Boundaries

Does your girl ever say you’re in her “personal bubble”? Some girls are definitely more aware of their boundaries than others. “Bubble” aside, do you see your daughter setting limits in other realms of her life?

Brainstorm some boundaries around everyday temptations with your girl—she might come up with things that surprise you! For example: Plugging in and putting your phone “to sleep” outside the bedroom restricts phone use in bed, which has proven to result in a better night’s sleep. Together you can create some self-monitored habits that construct healthy boundaries.

Respecting boundaries takes self-control. Second Timothy reassures us: “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” What boundaries will you set and obey?
