Encourage Generous Giving and Trust God with the Rest

Does your girl earn a weekly allowance? Perhaps she works odd jobs or does chores for a bit of money. When the piggy bank fills up, your girl can experience a feeling of exhilaration! Are those funds “burning a hole in her pocket,” or does she understand good generous stewardship means giving to God first and then using her money for other things?

God gives us His best, so, in turn, we should give our first fruits back to His Kingdom. Giving generously doesn’t mean having the most resources. Jesus praised the widow in Mark 12 because of her generous heart, not the value of money she gave.

Encourage your girl to give offering generously to God first, then allocate amounts to various needs and wants from there.

Mark 12:41-44
