Does Your Daughter Idolize Material Things?

What’s your daughter’s golden calf? In other words, what thing does your daughter worship? Putting our trust, joy, and faith in earthly things rather than in God—that’s been plaguing humanity since the beginning of time.

It’s easy to recognize the false worship of something like a giant cow statue—harder though, to recognize our false worship of other, non-material things. Could your girl be worshipping the number of followers she has on Instagram, the ground her crush walks on, the fantasy of fame or fortune?

Consider Christian counseling if your daughter is recognizably struggling with these types of deep-seated sin—like pride, lust, or gluttony. Together they can work to identify her struggle and find a new way to live for Christ.
