Deep Roots Beneath the Surface as the Fruit of the Spirit Grows in Her Heart

Ask your girl today, “Can a plant grow without roots?” Let her ponder this for a moment. Listen to her response and challenge her to see beneath the surface.  

Roots are essential for a plant.  They give nutrients and strength to everything above the ground’s surface. Your girl’s heart is the same! Her roots, over time, will grow deep into the Lord with careful, intentional cultivation. The Holy Spirit faithfully and gently prunes the things in her that do NOT reflect His Image. Then, year by year, she will show above the surface what is also true beneath the surface—the Fruit of the Spirit.  

As often as possible, instill confidence and courage into your girl that Colossians 2:7’s truth is happening within her heart!
