Cultivate Purity in Her Thinking About Romance

When your daughter hits a certain age, it’s time to talk about “The Birds and the Bees.” I’m sure for most of us parents, it’s a tough conversation! Plus, it’s yet another reminder that our “little girl” is growing up. However, you must teach her the true intent for romance.

As you talk to your girl about God’s design for physical intimacy, emphasize that God wants her to also live with a pure heart and mind. Teach her to guard against impure thoughts by studying these words in Philippians together: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable … think about such things.”

Be a safe haven for your girl’s heart and mind …  lovingly guiding her to God’s truth.
