Building Healthy Friendships Between Godly Girls and Boys

Whether your girl is entering kindergarten or her senior year of high school, teaching her the value of Godly interaction with members of the opposite sex is important. After all, healthy platonic relationships are one of the necessary building blocks to healthy romantic relationships later in life.

Girl and boy friendships can be a tricky thing for Christian parents to navigate. Setting clear boundaries from the start is crucial. Map out appropriate activities, times, and places that your daughter and her male friend can spend time together.

Christians are called to be in fellowship with one another, and that means proper friendships between men and women are of-God. When young girls understand how to interact with boys, they recognize the boundaries of appropriate interaction and learn the value of interpersonal skills that they will carry into adulthood.
