Have you seen the explosion of various t-shirts boasting the array of contemporary “nerd” groups? From Band and Theatre to Matheletes and Minecraft, your girl has a wealth of opportunities and groups with whom she can fit in! With this like-minded identity, your girl might be tempted to look down on those in another group…simply due to differences.  

Within the Body of Believers, Paul warned in Romans not to use our differences to divide and pass judgement. In the original context of Romans 14, dietary practices were a point of contention, but Paul exposed this as a minor issue not worth sacrificing unity in the church. 

God the Father has gifted His people with wildly different skills and personalities. Let’s celebrate these under the unity of Christ so we can bear with one another in love.
