What Daughters Need Most From Their Parents

When our daughters were babies, we recognized the ways in which they needed us. From middle of the night feedings to constant diaper changes—they required our physical presence to survive. Today, your daughter can take care of her own physical needs, but does that mean she doesn’t need you? Of course not!

When our kids are young, they require our physical presence. When they’re older, they need our emotional presence in order to thrive. Connecting with your daughter on an emotional and relational level is essential in not just parenting, but discipling your girl.

All Christian parents are shepherds to the next generation of believers. Remember the words in Proverbs: “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
