No parent wants to find out their girl has experienced trauma. It’s our job to protect her from mental, emotional, and physical wounds.
You may easily pinpoint the root of her trauma, or you may have no idea. Your mind races, you ask yourself: “Did I allow her to experience this pain?” and “What could I have done differently?”
Here’s a tip: ask for help. Scripture tells us in Proverbs that “Plans fail for a lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they succeed.” Don’t be ashamed to seek wise counsel for a plan to help your daughter heal.
Reach out to a Christian therapist or a trusted leader in your church. Godly counsel will guide your girl on her journey to healing.
