Why Affirming Her Identity during Adolescence is Critical

We all know there are “five love languages”—words of affirmation, quality time, tangible gifts, physical touch, and acts of service. These are the ways we, as humans, express and receive love best. While we all have our “top” love language, we can all appreciate all five in some regard!

Adolescence is hard for every person, but girls especially seem to struggle with self-doubt during these years. Set your daughter on a course toward self-love by creating an affirmation archive.

Choose an event, like her birthday, the anniversary of her baptism, or even a random day each year to share words of affirmation with her in a tangible way. She can look back on your words as a source of comfort and confidence in who God made her to be.
