Have you ever tried to stay on-trend? Whether it be fashion, music, keeping your social media profile picture updated with the latest frame – trendsetters probably need a nap from all the frenzy of “keeping up”! The truth is, culture is full of folly.  

Proverbs 15:21 says, “Folly brings joy to one who has no sense, but whoever has understanding keeps a straight course.” Godly wisdom produces a straight course, one that is marked by long-enduring wisdom. 

As you lead your daughter into a path of wisdom, be mindful of your own heart. If you tend to scramble for temporary cultural relevance, identify ways you can pull back and replace that with the character of God, and lead your young lady in what Psalm 139 says is “the way everlasting.”
