Teach Her to Abide in Her Faith

Houseplants have made a major comeback! For girls with black thumbs, keeping them alive proves no easy task. They neglect it, and without care, the plant withers and dies. Our faith can often suffer that same type of neglect.

In John 15:4, Jesus instructs, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”

Without regular care over our faith in Jesus, we can feel depleted, withered—just like that sad houseplant. Find ways to pour into your daughter’s faith life together so that she might establish strong roots. Regular time in church, attending Christian concerts, even planning a hike to experience His creation can all be ways to nurture her relationship with Jesus.
