As some parents struggle to get their girl to open up emotionally, other parents are desperate to get their girl to zip it! I’m talking about the over-sharers! 

While being vulnerable is an incredible part of building healthy relationships, it’s important to help her set appropriate boundaries around when and where and to whom she divulges her inner most thoughts and feelings. Public oversharing, like on a blog or a social media account, could be dangerous if proper safety measures aren’t taken. In Biblical terms, guard her heart!  

If your girl is gifted with the ability to share her emotions, don’t stifle it! Instead, redirect her desire to overshare. Seek out ways to take the over-sharing offline and direct her to personal reflection and conversations instead.
