Ask your girl, “What is the value of trust? Of honor? Of influence?” She might blink a bit, think for a moment, then reply something like, “I guess that it’s pretty important?” Your girl is right! The Bible’s word for “value” is “worthy.”
Worthy. That’s not a word we use often in modern conversation, but the Bible uses it abundantly in reference to the character of God. From Old Testament to New, we see a culmination in Revelation 5:12 that Jesus is worthy of honor, praise, power, glory and so much more!
As you raise a girl worthy of her Savior, remind her that value and worthiness are in the heart, and God masterfully cares for hers.
