With the Holy Spirit as Her Guide, a ‘No’ Opens Up More ‘Yes’

If your girl is a people-pleaser, saying no to an invitation can be tough! By personality, she might yearn to be where the action is. Or perhaps she longs to serve others, overcommitting in order to help. No matter the motivation, pouring out over her capacity leads to burn out and robs her of Godly joy.

What if saying ‘NO’ wasn’t so scary? Does she understand that saying ‘NO’ to something is a ‘YES’ to something else? Through rightly ordered priorities, she has the freedom to take or leave opportunities without running on empty.

Jesus taught us to honor commitments by committing to what you can faithfully complete in integrity. When your girl follows the Holy Spirit as her guide, a NO in one area becomes a YES in another.

Luke 14:28-29
