Why Her Understanding of Love is Anchored in God

Your girl’s theology is only as good as the love it produces. This challenging axiom has much to unpack—so let’s dive in. Theology is what your girl thinks about God. It falls under the notion of “orthodoxy” meaning “right thinking.” While that’s an old term we don’t often use these days, the weight of orthodoxy comes out in your girl’s actions—“orthopraxy” meaning “right practice.”

Know this: God’s job is to discern the hearts of people. Your girl’s job is to obey Him. God will order the times and ways her friends come to know Him. Your girl’s job is to speak the Gospel message. Her obedience and Gospel-sharing anchored in the love of Christ make her a radiant beacon of light shining in a dark world. Her theology AND her love matter.
