Modern society uses the term “family” in a much more free-form context than perhaps three decades ago when it primarily meant biologically-related people in a family unit.  

How can you leverage this idea to raise your girl into a lifelong faith walk with the Lord? Have you ever heard “it takes a village to raise a child”? There’s a Biblical truth in that! Your girl will eventually look for authoritative inspiration outside the home. So why not intentionally seek out a Godly older woman who can shepherd her heart well alongside you? 

Get to know the respected women of faith in your home church community. Pray for the Lord to put the right one in your girl’s life, who will help as family to cultivate her heart toward Christ.
