Whether in Defiance or Apathy, Pray for Her to Hunger for God

Whether your girl is headstrong or comfort-seeking, every parent knows that moment when “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make her drink” rings true. In her stark defiance or procrastination, you can’t force your girl into growth or holiness! 

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.” Can you imagine your girl hungering and thirsting for a righteous life? Probably not today. BUT who produces that hunger and thirst in YOUR heart? The Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit who guides your girl as a follower of Christ. 

How do you coax your girl to drink of the well of God? You pray. You speak words that lead her to His well. And anchor on the promise that she will be satisfied in God.
