When Inferiority has Her Stuck, Scripture Unlocks Her Heart

Do you and your girl have favorites lists? Top 5 parks to visit in your state. Top dozen songs for summer. Top 10 skills to master for maximum FUN! Have you thought about a lesser-known list that might be a dark cloud over your girl? The inferiority list.

Adolescent girls are especially vulnerable to feeling “less than” either when receiving critical feedback or seeing others thriving in a place that they hope for themselves. They then compose a list of self-loathes which can paralyze your girl, holding her back from healthy friendships, pursuing goals, and even leading to self-harm in the quiet of her bedroom.

Encourage your girl to write her inferiority list AND seek out Scripture to counter each item. Nudge her to speak God’s Truth to her fears and self-critical habits.

Jeremiah 31:3
