What to do When Your Daughter is Consistently Left Out

Does your daughter frequently get left out of things? Playdates, birthday parties, gym class team drafts. Being excluded makes you feel alone, separated from the rest.

A 2018 study found that 47 percent of Americans often feel “alone, left out, and lacking meaningful connection with others.” People, young and old, feel increasingly isolated in today’s world.

God created us for some definite purpose. Over and over Scripture tells us God “calls us each by name,” Encourage your daughter to break the cycle of exclusion by extending a hand to someone she sees being left out. Be ready to host the playdate or set out another chair at the dinner table. Welcome them with love and care the way Jesus did.
