Has your girl had a bad day? From the moment she came in, you know something’s up with her heart. Mumbled words, eyes downcast, stomping replaces walking. When you finally catch up to her in her room, tears are streaming down her cheeks—it’s been a rotten, no good, very bad day.  

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus.” This song of days-gone-by church life holds deep truth for your girl when she is stuck. Walking with the Lord doesn’t guarantee ease. But her God stands unshaken, unsurprised, and His love for her is unwavering. 

The last line of the song goes, “the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.” When her gaze is upon God, she can anchor into His faithful love on those bad days.
