When was the last time you had to pull plans off the calendar and disappoint your girl? Whether it was an ice cream date or a summer vacation, it can be hard for her to pivot when what she thought would happen, doesn’t.
James chapter four teaches us to hold our plans lightly and submit them to the Lord’s will. That doesn’t mean your girl CAN’T look forward to having an ice cream cone with her best friend or seeing the beach for the first time this summer. It means showing her that God is in control, so if plans have to change, it’s because we follow His lead and He is in charge.
This spiritual flexibility builds resilience while also bolstering a strong Biblical Worldview as she understands the time God has given her.
James 4:13-15
