Teach Your Girl to Seek Out Those Who Need a Friend

During your girl’s school and extra-curricular activities, she is often guided to “find a friend” or a “buddy”. Whether it is picking a kickball team or singing a duet, God created us to be together! But does she find the kid who is in NEED of a friend?

Matthew 25 tells us to seek out those who are marginalized—the differently-abled girl, the child who doesn’t get breakfast on a regular basis, the naturally shy friend. As your girl cares for these precious imagebearers, she, in turn, cares for the heart of God.

Gently challenge your girl to share her food with a friendinneed at lunch or even organize a project to serve MANY who lack resources. In this way, your girl will shine God’s compassion on the world around her.
