Teach Your Girl to Expose Bullying Not Contribute to It

“If you see something, say something.” The advice meant to expose bullying activity, harassment, and assault holds wisdom—for all parties involved. But within kids and teen circles, there is often pressure NOT to say something if they see something. In fact, the bully often rewards keeping what happened a secret. But is it loving to honor one who is actively sinning?

If your girl has ever been confronted or threatened not to tell about misconduct she witnessed, she experienced a crushing pressure. While the bully thinks they have power over her, your girl is the one with the power. The power to open the door to healing. Our God both confronts sin and brings about restoration. So, telling the truth about a bully is the first step on the road back to the Lord.
