“You’re so stubborn you’d argue with a fence post!” We get a good laugh out of this saying, but the root of the issue here is not stubbornness, it’s a divisive heart. Have you ever seen a person who argues for the sake of arguing? This is all too common practice in today’s hyper-oppositional online cultural climate. 

Galatians 5:19-21 details a list of heart patterns that pull us away from the Kingdom of Heaven. Division and Dissension are on that list! If your girl holds a tension-filled argumentative heart, take her two verses after to the Fruit of the Spirit. Pray with her for the Holy Spirit to replace wrath with kindness, goodness, and gentleness. Then celebrate over time as the Lord’s faithful work shows in her life!
