Prayer Changes People, and People Change the World

Mother Theresa once said “I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us and we change things.”

Did you know that according to the USDA 34 million people, including 9 million children, in America are food insecure? This is called the “Invisible Hunger” crisis. Whether we’re caring for the sick and dying on the streets of Calcutta like Mother Theresa or feeding the hungry in our community, we’re tasked not just with prayer for the afflicted, but for prayerful, life-changing action.

First John chapter 3:18 teaches us: “Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” Pray with your girl for God’s guidance to discern how you can best meet local needs, getting her involved in tangible service.
