In Crippling Isolation, Your Girl Needs Time and Connection

I’ve heard it said that living in 2020 was similar to being trapped in a snow globe. For many, isolation existed for a good part of the year. But just like the snow that falls when a globe is shaken, we need to shake the flakes from our isolated lives and work to create new connections and experiences.

Create special times with your daughter to help cope with the social isolation she may still be experiencing. A hike in the woods or an evening looking at the stars might shake things up a bit.

Ask her how she is feeling and listen intently. Find ways to help her connect with friends that she may not be seeing in person. Acknowledging loss and validating her feelings will show that you understand.
