“Because that’s how we do things in our family.” Does this remind you of your childhood? Some families let generational sin seep in and don’t quite know how to shut it down.
Whether your family struggles with the tension of addiction, unfaithfulness, abuse, or a history of rejecting God, know that the lies of Satan are no match for carving out a new branch in your family tree. A branch that declares the words of 1 John 4:4: “Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.”
Take heart and have the courage to name generational sins that you want to shut down. The Holy Spirit dwelling in you and your daughter gives you a new life apart from old ways of sin!
1 John 4:4
